VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

Show Your Support

  • Court Worker Program: Staff and volunteers attend provincial court on a daily basis to provide information and support to women who are navigating the justice system. 

  • Individual Support: Volunteers will assist women who find themselves in need of housing, food, income assistance and other resources. 

  • Programming: Volunteers will be trained in program facilitation to co-facilitate programs for women as well as the Voices programs for Youth. 

  • Board of Directors: Our volunteer Board lends their expertise and time to help Coverdale live its mission and achieve its goals.

STUDENT PLACEMENTS

Help Us Soar

The Society recognizes the need for students to gain practical work experience and endeavours to provide assistance by accepting placements and providing training. Each year we welcome students from post-secondary educational programs to join our team. 


Coverdale offers practicums of up to 450 hours to students from recognized colleges and universities. We are able to provide supported practicums suited to students pursuing the courses of study such as:

  • Child and Youth Care

  • Bachelor in Social Work

  • Community Social Service Work

  • Women’s studies

  • Addictions and Mental Health
