Our experienced team believes in the power of a robust support network and provides a diverse array of programs aimed at fostering resilience and rebuilding lives. We offer comprehensive assistance ranging from court and bail support to anti-violence initiatives, ending homelessness, and crisis and outreach services. Our focus is on igniting positive change and empowering individuals on their journey to stability and personal growth.
Court Support
Court support services are essential for those who have been accused or victims of a crime and their families. At Coverdale, we offer a range of support services to help individuals navigate the court process. Our advocates are experienced in providing vital support, information, and advocacy to ensure that our clients are informed and feel heard throughout the process.
Reintegration Support
Coverdale's reintegration support program 'Just Home' is designated to address the needs and bridge the gap of individuals being released from custody into homelessness in the HRM. This program includes weekly visits to CNSCF to meet with individuals and develop comprehensive release plans to secure housing and connect them to wraparound services tailored to their needs, and providing follow-through support in the community — all with the goal of reducing remand rates, recidivism and reducing the rates of homelessness.
Housing Support
We believe that everyone deserves the safety and stability of a home. That's why at Coverdale, we offer housing support through personalized case management and outreach services. Our team works tirelessly to help individuals at-risk or experiencing homelessness connect with services and meet their self-identified needs.
Caitlan's Place
Caitlan's Place is a supported housing program designed for women and gender-diverse individuals who have recently exited a correctional facility or who are justice-involved and experiencing homelessness. With 13 rooms and two emergency beds, we provide a safe environment for those with high needs. Our harm-reduction approach ensures that everyone who enters our doors is treated with respect and compassion.
Honour House
Honour House is a safe and inclusive supported housing program for up to 12 female and gender diverse youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness and justice involvement. Our program offers 24/7 on-site support across four 3-bedroom units, ensuring that our residents have access to any assistance they may require. We take a harm reduction-focused approach, enabling our residents to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
Pollinate Project
The Pollinate Project seeks to provide access to non-carceral, community-centred support in response to gender-based violence against 2SLGBTQIAP+ folks, and find creative interventions for addressing intimate partner violence in the queer community. We offer direct peer support and service navigation, a variety of community programming, and collaborative advocacy support.
Shannon's Place
Shannon's Place is a 4 bedroom second stage housing facility dedicated to creating a restorative community for women and gender diverse individuals aged 18+, particularly those navigating challenges with the justice system and homelessness. Our program provides comprehensive support services onsite at Caitlan's Place located next door.
Drop-in Services
Our drop in program at Coverdale provides a variety of services and resources for those in need. We offer access to a clothing bank, small food bank, group programs, activities, outings, computer and phone access, and information on services and resources. Our program is designed to support individuals and families in the community. We encourage you to come by and see what we have to offer!

Food Program
Food security is a fundamental right for all people. We're dedicated to ensuring that everyone in our community has access to healthy food options. Our small food bank provides Coverdale clients with grocery cards, non-perishable food, and regular community meals. With our service, we're striving to make food security a reality for all.
Care Closet
Our free store offers clothing and other essential items to our clients. We believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities and we strive to provide our clients with the basic resources they need to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Virtual Court Support
At Coverdale, we are committed to supporting individuals in accessing the justice system, no matter their circumstances. Our Virtual Court services provide essential tools and support to those attending court by phone or video. With experienced court support workers by your side, you will have the resources and information you need to navigate the court system with confidence.
